How
long has the park been in operation?
Zero Gravity
has been in operation since 1992. That's almost a decade of safe
operation. We first opened in Lewisville, TX with the bungee tower.
In 1994 we moved the tower to it's present location near Malibu
Speed Zone and have since expanded the park by adding the other
rides.
What
kind of form will I need to sign?
There is a
one page release form that you will be required to sign prior
to going on any of the rides.
Click here to view the release form. (If you don't have Adobe Acrobat
Reader, you can download it for free from the
Adobe website. )
Can
I get a video of myself doing the rides?
Absolutely!
For $10, we provide a videotape of you going on any attraction.
We also have T-shirt and video combo packages available.
How
safe are the rides?
Bungee
jumping is done from a seven-story permanent platform designed especially
for bungee jumping. We use a triple safety system that includes:
- Super-elastic bungee
cords - our bungee cords are so elastic they give you a ride that is much
smoother than an ordinary rollercoaster ride.
- Nylon safety backup
straps - the safety straps are strong enough that they would catch you even
with no bungee cord attached
- A professional stuntman
airbag underneath you - the air bag is rated for a fall even greater than
the height of the tower
The
Texas
Blastoff uses four strong bungee cords attached to two steel towers. Each
cord has a nylon safety backup woven into it. You are strapped into real racing
seats affixed to a steel ring. Even your feet are strapped in to provide the
smoothest launch.
On our
Nothin'
but Net the patented release system insures that you land on your back
even if you try to twist or turn. The landing is so smooth you will hardly notice
it. When you land there are actually two Nets, one under the other, and each
corner has a safety backup.
The
Skycoaster uses ultra-strong steel cables and professional hanggliding harnesses. You pull
your own ripcord whenever you are ready.
For your safety,
we do enforce certain restrictions on who can ride the rides. For
example, as with amusement parks, we never let people with back
injuries or pregnant women ride the rides.

here for more safety information.
How
old do you have to be to go on the rides?
You
must be at least 10 years old to bungee jump or ride the Nothin'
but Net. If you are under 16, you must have the verified signature
of a parent or guardian. The other rides have no age restrictions,
although
other restrictions may
apply.
What
should I wear when I come to the park?
Depends.
(Get it?) Just kidding. Actually, any comfortable clothing will
do.
What
is the Hall of Fame, and how do I get on it?
The
Hall of Fame is a designated page that will show photos of people
who have gone on all of the rides at Zero Gravity.
That way, once you go on all of the rides, you can give the web
address to your friends to show how crazy you really are! (The Hall
of Fame is currently under construction so check back soon to see
it. )
How
much does it cost to ride the rides?
Please see
Hours and Rates for details.
If
we bring a group, do we get a discount?
Yes. Please
call (972) 484-8359 or send an e-mail to
zgdallas@gojump.com for details.
I would like to work at Zero Gravity. What are the job qualifications
and how do I apply?
We are always
looking for qualified, enthusiastic people to join our staff. If
you would like to apply for a position, please complete our
on-line employment application. You can also call (972) 484-8359 or send
an e-mail to
zgdallas@gojump.com.
Can
I land on my head when I do the Nothin' But Net?
No. Our harness
and release system guarantees that you can only land on your back... even
if you tried to turn around or land any other way you wouldn't be
able to do it.
Do
I need to make reservations before coming out?
No. Reservations
are only necessary for large groups. If you are coordinating a group
event, please see Group Info.
